Boston Legal 2.11 forum on tvwop
-During commercials I kept wondering if they would be able to sustain this near perfection for the entire episode. By God, they did. Throw this into some showcase at the Museum of Television Arts & Sciences (I think that's what it's called).I can't think of anyone or anything that disappointed. That Bill D'Elia knows how to direct and the writing and editing (Phil Neel?) were excellent. I noticed Michael J. Fox struggling a bit with his body a few times....but, who the hell cares when he gave his heart and soul to this part.yes. He transcended that crap. I thought Julie Bowen's moments at the computer were so real and beautiful .yes. in what otherwise could have easily been a manipulative scene that I would have resented and felt great contempt for. She made me believe Denise loved him and I could see why since she allowed her character to radiate a lot more beauty in Daniel Post's presence. Michael J. Fox made that change in her character very understandable. He made her evolution seem inevitable. Keep Hands and his gecko. Keep Denny's karaoke partner and soul mate, Bev. Keep Melissa--there's something about her that fits with Alan. She knows how to play with him. And, let Denise have dreams about Daniel Post which will allow us to see him again. These characters (and more importantly, actors) are too good to dispense with entirely. I will miss them. Thank you Boston Legal for a great hour.(The only thing that would have made this episode better is if it had taken place in the very near future when we'll be able to buy downloads, sans commercials. That's going to be BIG)
- I absolutely loved the Dirty Dancing reference that Denny made ("It's like a heartbeat...guh-gung..") .yes. This show always brings it. I laugh out loud and yet it touches me, too. Man, it deserves many more awards...the chemistry between all the talent is incredible.
- The BL cast is so gifted, it's like...seeing Mary Lou Retton score perfect 10s, or your favorite football/baseball team get a shut-out. Every week. I can't believe the Golden Globes shut out BL. I thought it was supposed to be the classy award show?
- Denny and Paul 'forgetting/forgiving' the previous fight.
- Joanna Cassidy (who I recently know as mom of Brenda on six feet under) is up to this assignment, isn't she? Someone earlier in the thread pointed out how weak the weaker actors appear next to the titans on this show. JC can take it and dish it out.
- Denny and Alan are the true love story of this show. yes.
- One of the best eps in a while, Alan and Denny dancing was superbly played.
- Hey, I could watch Denny and Alan dance all night. "Anything Denny Crane can do, I can do backwards and in high heels". classic James Spader or is it classic Alan Shore? -
-"I'm dying". "Your Honor, I object." "YOU object?!" oh. Classic MJF. I was sth like confused, who do I love? alan shore and this mjf character are not the same person so who is it I?
- I love the irony in that MJF is playing a money hungry businessman who now plays a bleeding heart lawyer. What a great way for Alex P. Keaton to come home. I smell Emmy for him this year.
- Just when I thought I couldn't love this show any more than I already do, along comes a sublime episode like this one. The dance was pure poetic genius. And MJF broke my heart at the end of the courtroom scene. Nice use of music in the episode, especially Warren Zevon's " Keep Me in Your Heart" -- so perfect.I'm going to go bask in the afterglow now. Very satisfying. Denny Crane.
