-Just terrific. Spader in court was outstanding. I just love this show! p. 130
-Another great week. You know those stuffed Tubey toys folks have made? I'm seriously thinking I need an Alan Shore version, because I just want to hug him again after tonight.
-"I haven't seen you this episode" - Brilliant! missed that, check back for transcript @ link below
Do they often break the fourth wall like this? I'm asking because I'm new. I came for MJF and I'm staying for Alan Shore. And Alan and Denny. And Shirley. But mostly Alan. And thanks to RoanokeVA, I'm staying up waaaay past my bedtime catching up on BL backstory through the great video clips found at that link.
RoanokeVA : Here's where I found this =http://boston-legal.org/episodes.shtml w/transcripts, yay. and video?
- no -- that's not a regular occurrence, and good for them, because that made it funnier.
- When Alan and Denny were on a fishing trip, Denny described a sea creature that holds on tight - "Cling-ons, they call them". And in a very recent episode, Denny flips open his cellphone and it makes the familiar Star Trek (TOS) sound effect when Kirk would flip open his communicator. Priceless.
- What I find interesting is how (at least, IMO) the quality of these last couple of episodes have been beyond good, and David E Kelley hasn't written any of them.
- In my opinion Alan had his case won with his first cross exam. The way he just laid out a lot of personal info about the witness, his co-counsel, the judge…. It was hysterical – and also a little scary to see how easy it was to obtain said info. It didn’t just hit home with the jury – that judge also took a memo, considering how quickly she upheld the damages awarded (when asked for a 'judgement notwithstanding' the verdict).
-Did the actress playing the young girl freak anyone else out? I've seen her before and she always makes me think of a wax model. Julie Bowen/Denise is really growing on me. For the past handful of episodes I haven't even thought about missing Tara. Obviously the MJF storyline has been great. yeah.
-Michael J. Fox makes TV better. Not just a show, but the entire medium.Time and illness have weathered him - there is no doubt of that - but his skill in front of a camera, his presence in virtually any scene, and his genuine warmth and humanity, these all shine through as bright as ever. And that scene with Shatner? FUNNY. last week, they met in the hall, quick back and forth became friendly. I'd like to see that again. but no David Kelly shows ever come out on dvd? mmrh.
- I thought David E. Kelly was refusing to release any of his shows on DVD until they could no longer be syndicated. oh. bummer. but well at lst that means that someday-
