I heard "thinking about throwing in the towel and living a genuine life" (which I smiled at); but did you actually say: "... throwing in the towel on living a genuine life"?
genuine means taking responsibility for the integrity of something.
[life is an invention / game /manipulation of objects (is this the opposite?)] -
they don't take responsibility for the integrity of anything.
they consume situations. they don't maintain them.
~ they don't create them.

involuted (dBreBscha) - few facial expressions huh. ~"when I think about what career I want, I think about what movements I would make." (physically): how would walk down the hall, carry papers, turn head. I like that.
