tonite's gilmore girls is good again. who wrote this episode?
Emily is ON.

Paris, too. with Doyle watching the penguin movie.
and Emily being kind in her considerations about a house for Lorelai, and kind when she starts crying. Lorelai with Emily, always the best scenes.

-"Isn't there someone else?" "I don't remember being in labor for 14 hours with someone else." Heeee. And..wow. Lauren Graham, as always, was amazing.
-I couldn't help but tear up when Emily went to show Lorelai the house. She spent so much time trying to find the perfect house for her, with the horses and the pond. I was just so touched that Emily did that, in her own way she was trying to say that she wants Lorelai to be happy with Luke and wants to be a small part of making that happen. I thought it was a wonderful moment, especially when Lorelai teared up and Emily just put a hand on her shoulder.
-Aw. This is why I've watched this show for six years. The scenes with Sookie and Jackson's marijuana and Michel's milk were genuinely funny. The scenes between Lorelai and Emily were touching and sad and hilarious.
-loved the beginning with the meatball on the fork and Lorelai waving it around. loved Paris and Doyle trying to take care of Logan.
-The best parts were definitely the ones with Emily. Her being a pain in the ass about her eye surgery was really in-character and felt like all the old episodes with her. yes. But her buying a house for Lorelai (predictable as it was- who didn't think that's what she and Richard were doing in Stars Hollow? me. never crossed my mind.) really showed how far she's come as a character. yes. After all this time, she really has gotten to know her daughter and understand who she is and what she likes.
-I was so touched that Emily wanted to buy them a house and she worked hard to find one Lorelai would like. Emily's touch on the shoulder was so wonderful.
-Emily was also back to her old self, dramatic.
-The best part of the episode was absolutely the scene with Emily trying to buy Lorelai the house (and how she had worked so hard to make it perfect for the couple). That's one of the best things about Gilmore Girls: the complexity of the relationships. Emily and Lorelai spend the entire day bickering, and the issues they have with each other are certain more than superficial, but they do, in fact, care for one another (as evidenced by Lorelai's caring for her mother all day and Emily's extravagant and thoughtful "gift"). I felt like from what I saw of the episode, the entire weed thing was only in there for the last lines of the episode, while Lorelai is all bummed:Lorelai: What is that smell?Sookie: 68 pounds of weed.

-And what is up with bananas? They've been mentioned throughout the last few episodes! Is there going to be an All-Stars-Hollow-Singalong of We Have No Bananas Today?

-And what IS with all the bananas? I'm seriously wondering if it's like, some weird writer/cast inside joke or something? And hey, I just realized that when Lane's band is broken up, Gil sings "Hollaback Girl" which is the song where Gwen spells out "B-A-N-A-N-A-S" Huh.
yes huh I haven't noticed. only Caesar's frozen bananas.
