Board: "Without a Trace" (2002) - Season 5 may be the deal-breaker
from Entertainment Weekly, Fall TV 2006 preview:

(CBS) 10-11 PM Starts Sept. 24
When we last left Anthony LaPaglia, Jack's FBI gal pal (
Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio) ah he did get together with Annie - who I saw in episode where her husband - another agent - and Jack had introduced them - disappeared then died but I did not follow the end was pregnant, a story line that will explore, says showrunner Greg Walker, ''star-crossed lovers who are in their mid-40s and the weirdness [about] commitment when you get to be older. Like, 'What do we do with a baby?' It throws them into crisis.'' Fellow showrunner Jan Nash says, ''We're starting season 5 off with a bang [with] a story about a missing stripper. Roselyn Sanchez's Elena will go undercover in the strip club.'' Regarding the move to Sundays, **the producers are mindful of the soapiness that Desperate Housewives and (gone-to-Thursday) Grey's Anatomy have brought to the night. ''We're pumping up those personal stories a little bit,'' says Walker, ''because we feel like Sunday has more room for that.''

That's it. This show has officially gone to crap. Don't the producers understand the concept of counter-programming? We need an antidote to soap operas, not another one! I hope Jean-Baptiste and Close can get out of their contracts. They're too good for this nonsense.
