Desire -- how can Louis get away with telling Alex that "Andrea made her choice"?
I missed end of pivotal girl-stealing scenario:Louis took the car and all of the Alex's clothes (while he was in the shower) so that he wouldn't be able to go out to dinner w Andrea. He lied to her, saying that Alex was sick. And he sent Jessica (who I think of as 'Claudia' dont know why) to go over and surprise Alex.
So--- I can't imagine how that night could have ended with Alex unaware of his brother's machinations. ??!! how could Louis have claimed innocence? where did the car & suitcase go?? and didn't Andrea talk to Alex about him feeling sick...?
louis is jerk of jerk character "the andrea ship has sailed"
ah here are thorough recaps.

Friday, September 08 2006 - Rita and the boys move in with Peter, George sets Alex up at the restaurant, and Louis and Andrea go out on a date! » Read More
Louis follows Alex home via cab. While Alex is in the bathroom getting ready Louis sneaks in and takes all of Alex’s clothes, as well as the keys to Peters car. He gets in the car with the suitcases and drives away.
Louis arrives at Andreas and bumps into Jessica. Louis tells Jessica that Alex is smitten with her and can’t stop talking about her. Louis suggests Jessica stop by their house and try to hang out with Alex that evening.
Louis knocks on the door and tells Andrea that Alex sent him to tell her he was sick. Louis asks her if she would like to go get something to eat since she is already dressed up.
Jessica walks in on Alex changing and tells him Louis told her to surprise him.
Before they leave Andrea asks Louis if she can call Alex. Louis dials Alex’s number for her, and we see Alex’s phone ring, inside the car Louis took.
Monday, September 11 2006 Andrea goes on another date with Louis, Alex and Jessica kiss, and George and Suzy get arrested! » Read More
Jessica visits Alex at work and asks him out to dinner. Andrea stops by the restaurant unexpectedly to see Alex. She walks in and sees Alex with Jessica. When she sees the two together she briskly leaves the kitchen bumping into Louis.
Andrea heads for the bar and Louis follows quickly behind. Louis thanks Andrea for dinner the night before, and then gives her a hand massage. During the hand massage Louis asks Andrea out or drink later that night, she agrees if he will massage her other hand.
Louis and Andrea go to a wine bar. Andrea asks Louis what he wants out of life, and he responds with a restaurant in Beverly Hills, love and happiness. While the two are talking Alex arrives with Jessica to have dinner. After seeing the pair Andrea asks Louis to take her home. Alex sees Louis and Andrea leave and recalls their conversation from earlier about the pact being over and they both going after Andrea.
aah, so nothing. goes fr a Fri episode to Monday's, and Andrea doesn't ask Alex about being sick, they don't talk at all about not going out to dinner as planned? and we don't see any confrontation by Alex of Louis for taking his clothes and car??! that's maddening.
ask twop once registran processed: I'm finding a plot hole outstandingly bothersome:
Did Louis's out & out lies and machinations (taking the car and the suitcase of all Alex's clothes, then going to Andrea's and lying to her that Alex was sick, and sending Jessica over to surprise Alex) go undiscovered by Alex and Andrea? Apparently, Andrea at least has no idea. And Louis says to Alex that "Andrea made her choice" -- as if Alex doesn't know that Louis thoroughly manipulated that situation, with no subtlety or discretion. But what could Alex think -- that the clothes and car and phone just happened to disappear??
Was any explanation offered for Louis getting away with it?
