For those who just saw this thread and have no idea what the heck it is: Desire is an umbrella series of adaptations of telenovelas (Spanish-language soap operas) that the forthcoming My Network TV will air beginning September 5. This umbrella show (as well as its sister project Secret Obsessions) will be comprised of four separate 65-episode series, each series running five nights a week with no known plans for repeats (though there will be a weekly recap show for each series during its run).
hmm so int to see transparent development. but ok only change here is that first component series got the title of "Desire" rather than that being the project title... still 65 episodes each: 5 days a week X 13 weeks
also, ok, helps to know that these are adaptations of actual telenovelas already done in Spanish. right? (or this person means what I tht before, and adaptation of the format). but if the material is adapted specifically it seems to account for sth of the feel of it to me...
Desire is currently scheduled to air at 8pm EST Monday through Friday, with a weekly recap show airing at 8pm EST on Saturdays. Below are the series making up the project, in airing order:

Art Of Betrayal (with Sean Young and Gordon Thomson)
Rule Of Deception (with Annalynne McCord, Rachelle Woods, and Dylan Bruce)

After the ex-wife (Sean Young) of a successful and heartless businessman attempts to destroy her former lover’s career, she sets up a scheme to have her two sons seduce his daughters, marry them, and take their money.
Rule Of Deception (with Annalynne McCord, Rachelle Woods, and Dylan Bruce)
Two best friends (Annalynne McCord and Rachelle Woods) who hail from entirely different worlds find their relationship shattered after they meet a handsome and dashing engineer (Dylan Bruce) who seduces both women…one for love, and one for money. ooh. a bf story.

For the most part the one I'm most impressed with actingwise is the father Peter(?) for some reason I get him and I like his portrayal. Everyone else, even my second fav Alex is a caricature at this point. Which I guess is all part of the soapy goodness.
yeah I saw a scene btw father & Louis in wine cellar. tht it was actually good, seemed bcs of the acting by the father.
I don't like the char of Louis. bleh. Alex is a sweethrt, int his voice is younger sounding than expect from his looks, changes his appeal.
