Seattlest: Dissecting Grey's Anatomy: Season Finale Edition, Part One
jumped from harmless Scrabble playing patient-crush to fatal attraction (literally)- Izzie's please-please-please-don't-leave-me let-me-do-this-I'm-an-excellent-driver-dad-lets-me-drive slow-on-the-driveway-please-please-please-let-me-kill-you meltdown

Seattlest: Dissecting Grey's Anatomy: Season Finale Edition, Part Two:

saw the part 1 finale hr this past Thur, well some of it.
This 'part 2' two-hour finale airs this coming Wed, before the new season picks it up on Thur.
guess I did not see it back at the end of the season in May or whenever, did see the final Pompeo-Derek-ChrisODonnell moments, must've only turned on for the final few minutes.
this link has cute ChrisO&Pompeo pic
I like Meredith's looks (and want to like the char but I dont like the things she says).

After Denny's vitals have sufficiently dropped, Nazi poses a thinly-veiled hypothetical to Chief about the moral dilemma of taking a heart in the given circumstances. He says go ahead, but when all is said and done he wants names.
Denny gets the heart, Izzie gets thrown off his case and the rest of the suck ups get put in time out. After a close call in the O.R., Denny starts on the road to rapid recovery, at which time a no longer hesitant Izzie accepts his proposal of marriage.
George also takes advantage of his time out to tell Meredith he's sorry about their romp gone awry, and that it's his fault, not hers. He knew better. He knew she didn't like him, but let her go through with it anyway. So he's sorry. yeah, and what did she do that was so bad, she started crying. then he got all pissy.

cmmt:At times the finale of Grey's Anatamony was some of the best crafted television I've seen in a long time. Especially the soliloquies with the chief interogating the interns. huh. (I didnt see those)
Chief speaks one on one with the interns to get to the bottom of the tube cutting, heart-prob faking fiasco.
Each of the interns employs their own brand of Jedi mind magic, with Alex up first. He won't spill the beans and uses the sports analogy of maybe being drafted into a team you don't like, but you go to bat and you're a team and you don't spout off to the press.
Cristina's up next and appears to be breaking down from losing her edge and tearfully wants to know Chief's trick. He dismisses her, saying he doesn't want her to tell him who cut the cord, not her huh?, and he won't tell her his trick to not letting everything get to him cause he doesn't want to be responsible for making her less human.
Izzie talks about what a pretty girl she is and how that's all anyone sees in her, but not Denny. She felt like herself with him.
George seems the likeliest to crack and Chief knows it. He simply tries to freak him out into talking by staring at him. Which seems like it would work, but George starts talking about love instead. He's dismissed.
And as for Meredith? She takes her golden opportunity to confront Chief on the affair she knows he had with her mom.

Meredith heads up to Denny's room, where Izzie's all decked out. Denny has died. Denny died alone of a blood clot, something Izzie says she should have been watching for and had she not spent so much time getting ready for the prom, she would have been there and might've been able to save him. As she says this, she's bawling and curled up on the bed next to a very past his prime Denny. The gang is telling her it's okay and that she shouldn't be there, but Alex is the one who finally steps up. He tells her Denny loved her and she loved him and he wouldn't want this for her. Then he picks her up all Prince Charming-like (except for the charming part) and holds her while she cries.
I saw that, it moved me, I think Alex is good. the actor. I'm not sure but I think so.
