Yahoo! TV - Today's TV Picks: hmm today is 5 Sept and there are fall premiers huh - Fox: House, FX:NipTuck &...new shows:
Fashion House 09:00 PM ET -MyNetwork TV- 8pmC on channel 8 (formerly UPN)
With
the merger of The WB and UPN, many stations around the country were left without programming. huh. right - local stations host network programming - trouble is I don't know how television networks are constituted. Enter MyNetworkTV -- a brand-new network that hopes to find success with the 'telenovela' formula seen previously only on Spanish-language channels. They're kind of like soap operas -- airing Monday through Friday nights, with a recap on Saturday -- only their storylines only go for so long and they're much cheesier. 'Fashion House' stars Bo Derek ('10') as Maria Gianni, a fashion industry legend who makes a secret business deal with the mysterious William Chandler (Joel Berti). Morgan Fairchild and Tippi Hedren also star. It's preceded and followed by the premiere of 'Desire,' starring Sofia Milos ('CSI: Miami').
Standoff
09:00 PM ET -FOX- 8pmC on channel 12
"Standoff," another new series from FOX, aims to stand out from the TV crowd (I slay me!) by mixing in a little "Moonlighting" banter along with its "Law & Order"-ish crime stories. Matt Flannery (Ron Livingston, "Sex and the City" isnt he more known as the guy fr Office Space - ? and, lately, Nightmares & Dreamscapes) and Emily Lehman (Rosemarie Dewitt, "Rescue Me") are top-ranked FBI crisis negotiators who are forced to reveal their secret relationship after a tense hostage standoff leads them to admit they're sleeping together. Too important as a team to be split up, they are now under the watchful eye of their boss, Cheryl Carrera (Gina Torres, "Alias"), as well as their skeptical colleagues. Michael Cudlitz, Raquel Alessi and Jose Pablo Cantillo also star.

I've only just noticed the logos of the networks on the tvguide, next to the station numbers. NBC, ABC, CBS (22), and that little head profile in blue with green outline (sposed be another person? I took it first for sound or pic input ~ wave) that means public programming I guess PBS
