I love liveness. I like live writing. live style.
9:50. Friday Night Lights premieres tomorrow??? Friday Night Lights is on on Tuesday Nights?
Heroes had a shot of a map superimposed over a car driving down a lonley desert road. Always liked that trick, hokey as it is.
This is not Heroes blogging. Don't worry. Or don't get your hopes up. hehee. But there's a guy on a roof looking like he's going to jump and didn't last week's episode end with a guy jumping off a roof? I still like Heroes though I only half watched it. maybe will see episode in full when: rebroadcast on Friday, October 6th on the Sci-Fi channel (info fr laurel - tvguide shows at 6c. but scifi is channel 160 -? so I don't get that? I tht I got it and that it was like 73 ~ maybe that was before swtcharnd of some numbers and maybe some networks stopped being included). think I liked the trick that the events befalling one of the chars (as we flipped among them from scene with Ali to Hiro to Clare to police guy Greg) were happening at a later time but we didn't know that til the end. so now we can see if those events can be obviated ~ int I guess bcs viewer assumes when switching scenes that they are happening simultaneously? unless cued as flashback or flashforward.
9:59. We're in. The Focus Group.
...
Bradley Whitford is shocked that the focus group was asked if the show's patriotic. "This is a TV show, not the Iwo Jima Memorial." Commercial for Flags of Our Fathers follows. Coincidence? You make the call.
No one's ever going to ask if Friday Night Lights is patriotic. Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.
"No comedian you admire has ever been afraid of silence." WC Fields would like that one. He advised when ever you feel like doing more, do less. Something like that.10:45. Pretty good Nicolas Cage.
I don't believe for a moment Sarah Paulson could make that bear roaring joke work. yeah, there's still no evidence that she's so funny and maybe the evidence is that she's not.
Matt Perry's leaving and we're going with him. Is this going to be the ending of every show? Matt/Aaron all alone with his deep thoughts and all that writing to do?
All done.
Wrap up tomorrow morning. Thanks for playing.I like whitford and perry but whitford now so bossy. so what do I want? a plain old relationship-y drama with them in it, showing them in moments more like the pilot ~ meaning what, outside the studio? and harriet does seem just a problem now, it's distracting that she is supposed to be so talented and we don't see it, we don't see it at all. I am interested in amanda peet's character. though the way she comes across is still odd ~ flat. stephen weber is good. but on the whole, the show is not compelling... ? feels ~ lacking in anything compelling ... maybe even: boring. huh.
