..nip/tuck twop cmmts..p 974

Nip/Tuck: Plot Holes Are A Curse Upon The World I wonder why the twop thread has this name. dsnt seem to me that this show esp (more th others has plot holes). if anything, seems pretty good at continuity. does seem standard procedure to focus on diffrnt storylines in consecutive episodes -- seems to alternate, mostly, so that you don't see a continuation next week of where left off this week, but will return to that situation the following week afte some time has passed in the story - eg Kimber and Matt are sort of in every other episode currently -- and I think I like this, makes each episode stand alone a bit more, makes it a less common sort of soap opera. anyway is the twop title suggesting a distinguishing plot-hole-issue related to this?

-
-Where was Liz in 2026?
--Hopefully not with Poppy. I kind of loved this episode....make-up issues aside.
I love grown-up Conor, I loved Sean again, and Annie was funny. The episode had a surreal feeling to it that I liked, although the hurricane/storm/recovery symbolism was a bit heavy-handed. I need to rewatch, I think.

-SFU future 'how they all died'.....best episode of its kind in the history of television. well sure this suffers in comparison to that. that was the opposite of filler. this was fun, that was emotional wrap-up to five years of drama, set to Sia 'Breathe Me.' that had a great twop recap also, by m giant I think "when this show says the end..." and "now that was a montage."
Everybody Dies - Six Feet Under - Wow, when this show says "the end," it's not kidding around. - Now that is a montage. posted m # 8/27/05 09:05 PM the brothers are good to watch. maybe the best part? I wouldn't much want to see most of this show twice, though it is fine it is not ~pleasing. but maybe for some of the Nate and David scenes. and I'd watch the pretty finale montage again, maybe the whole finale, that was fine. "When this show says The End.."

Remember when viewers were bitching about the bad aging makeup, in between drying their tears while watching the Six Feet Under series finale?! ...here even worse
-They shouldn't have put any makeup on Julian. They should have kept him just the same. As superfical has Christian is he would never allow himself to get fat or get one gray hair. It would have been funnier if he had walked up and nothing had changed about him.ala Karen in Will&Grace finale, where it was very funny.
--I thought the exact same thing. Maybe lessen the effects of any regular TV makeup so a few of his actual wrinkles would show and make him look slightly older.
---Yes! And also, as anyone over the age of 40 knows, how old one looks is 90% dependant on lighting. Characters in their 40s could easily be made to look a good 15-20 years older just by foregoing make-up and utilizing harsh lighting. But instead the pasted on fake-looking wrinkles are always the aging method of choice. It makes me think it's much more about the actor's vanity than a lack of expertise or understanding. They want the aging prosthetics to be obvious.

-Song at the end of the episode {Sean & Julia at airport I think, earlier cmmtr asked What song]:Sufjan Stevens - "All The Trees Of The Field Will Clap Their Hands” nice title

--Sean was the only thing keeping the episode from being a complete waste, but even his sincerity was undercut by the surrounding foolishness. he was maybe the only part of episode with sincerity. well, Conor. whose episode it was, really.
-I liked the scene with Matt and Sean during the hurricane, and Sean and Annie on the couch, and old Sean and Christian eating lunch together, bickering like an old married couple. Looking at the rest of their lives 20 years on, Ryan should have put them together as a couple. They're dysfunctional and superficial with the women in their lives because they're already emotionally and psychologically married to each other
. ...Next week looks interesting, but I hope they don't really go out of their way to debunk Christian and Sean ever getting together. It looks like Faith is going to tell Sean something about Christian, and I assume it'll be to do with the gay storyline. I do find it interesting how Sean's claws are out after Michelle. The Sean/Christian pairing fans among us would say our boy's a bit jealous. Or he might just see Michelle for the organ-stealing homicidal ex-hooker that she is. You go, Sean!
