Television Without Pity - Extended Families
so this was the most recent episode? I noted parts of the recap below. and I'm seeing it now on Bravo.
the little boy with Tim was not immediately adorable which is cool and makes it better when he is funny:
Mom! I know, but Tim Riggins has been teaching me everything there is to know about the game of the football! the game of. and, I doubled my skill level in one afternoon. level.
and Julie complaining about how she is not supposed to hang out with Tyra Colette but is being left alone with Buddy Garrity "a known adulterer" in her own home. Tami: I think you can manage. When Julie asks if she should put needles in her eyes, "Well I think that would be a bad idea." I like how Tami talks. and then Coach Dad comes out of the bathroom: "I heard everything your mother said and she's always right, so listen to her."
and mmm I like Tim eating with mom and kid, I like that kind of situation. the kid burping "that was funny" and mom and Tim catching eye.

Landry is still the funniest (is Tim the 'hott'est?) twop p8 :
Landry tries out a toast of his own. Clears his throat. "To Tyra. I'm in your house right now. With you. And strippers. and Just God bless everyone who enters here."

so we have Coach and lovely Tami and daughter Julie now dating Matt Saracen the young QB1 who lives with Grandma and has bf Landry. and Julie has become friends with Tyra who has hard-lived mom and sister who works as stripper.
and former QB1 who is now in a wheelchair (and his parents really do not appear as chars in own right do they?) Jason Street and his girlfriend Lyla Garrity, whose dad Buddy is the big business man in town or something and who had an affair with Tyra's mom when hired her as receptionist and then fired her.
I like the interrelations of these people..... ah: Extended Families.
and the running back (?) Smash with his girlfriend the preacher's daughter who went off her meds for a mood disorder and her good dad wants to talk to Smash who starts to assure him that his intentions are good "no not that talk. I just want to know if she seems different at all."

Tim, when kid Bo gives him the 8x10 school photo (as recapped, "I thought you might want this" - "well you thought right.") says "...this is fantastic. this is going on the fridge, I'll tell you that much." Bo: "yes!" like he has scored a touchdown.

Tami at the hospital, asking Matt to take Julie home. oh I want to be in this family.
and even Buddy is likeable, with his Magnum PI notepad reading, and Coach "no I am not taking the job because it's not official" and Buddy "'cause I might need to know."

Tami: "You know what, Tyra, why don't you come by my office on Monday? I'd like to talk to you about your academic future."- "What, am I your new project?" - "Absolutely. Take care, sweetheart."

and my silver lining of week without K is I can watch the first airing of the next episode this Wednesday...
