TWoP recap p1 House: Family
fr recaplet: (below posted on dlww on day of show - saw more of the episode last nite - seems USA 39 'characters welcome' repeats on Friday night the episode not fr the most recent Tuesday but from the one before -and nb on Saturday night at same time 10pm USA 39 shows House fr season 2 = last yr)
House spends the episode trying to kill his new dog accidentally on purpose. yeah he left the door open jerk - twd people his meanness is offset by accompanying honesty & integrity - he won't at all tend to your feelings but that pretty much frees you not to tend to his - whereas toward a dog or child, anyone dependent on you, your honest expression of self is not refreshing and does nothing to mitigate your cruelty - jerk In one week, he manages to give the dog a limp oh how does the dog get the limp? I saw at the end the dog limping & I tht he was mimicing House which seemed so lovable - animals or children doing like the people they are with - bcs that's how life is, they think, that's how one walks - identification - sweet basic love
House also gets a new cane with flames on it and a tiny speaker that apparently blares AC/DC wherever he goes . cuz it's so bitchin'. (House asks Wilson to meet him at what looks like a smoke shop. Wilson: why do you get your canes here, not at a medical supply shot like more people. House, quick as a whip: More bitchin' choices.) It takes a special show to feature characters who torture dogs and children and make you actually like them. This is still that show.
p9: House meets Wilson in some kind of weird antique shop... House tells Wilson that he buys his canes here because they have 'bitchin' choices.' A clerk finally decides to do his job and comes out to the floor to show House the very bitchin'est of canes. The first one has a skull on it. House rejects it, saying it's "a little too 'Marilyn Manson in a retirement home.'"House likes the second choice until he finds out it's made of bull penises. right the clerk says sth like~'genuine bull penis stretched over a metal rod'. "Penis canes are murder," House says, handing it back. While AC/DC chords greet the third cane, which House pronounces is properly bitchin'.
Oh my, they did not. They did! The AC/DC continues into the next scene, were we get a slow motion shot of House and Wilson's feet as they exit the elevator and House shows off his hot new cane, which has little flames on the base. Really, it's not even that bitchin'. But that montage certainly was! He enters the meeting room, and all the Cottages react to the new cane. It's ridiculously overdone. I love it so.
p12 Wilson leaves with the dog. who is limping, the sweetheart. House heads out into the hall and watches them leave. Amazingly, they got the dog to turn his head and look back at House and... emote, almost. the sweetheart.

(I keep getting stuck: Hercules? Heracles? Harold?) the dog's name is Hector.
prvs episode - twop House recap p9 Training: "'Hector Does Go Rug' is an anagram for 'Doctor Greg House,'" Bonnie explains. I guess that makes sense if you say things like "Hector does go rug." yeah that seemed really weird to me. Maybe Bonnie would sell more condos if she spoke better English. "Huge Ego, Sorry," House says, is a much better anagram for Gregory House. It's pretty much perfect, actually. But who wants a dog named that?
ok so bonnie is the name of the ex-wife fr that episode. at end of this one, Family, Wilson says Bonnie got her co-op to allow pets again. and I tht maybe bonnie was his current wife? bcs I tht the dog was going home with Wilson. but then, Wilson is sort of dating Cuddy, so he must not be married currently. right. so the dog is going back with the ex. be happy, Hector!
