1-22: "Leave It To Beaver" 2005.05.10 - TWoP Forums last page 120:
-
Will we ever know what happened to Logan's letter? Sigh.
-Did Weevil find a note in the pen? --His own note, in fact. He had written a note that was NOT nice and would have made him out to be a suspect had anybody found it. This was never said on the show cause they didn't have time, but Rob Thomas has in fact said this is the case.
-In a TV Guide Q & A (contains very mild spoilers for Season 2) Rob Thomas: I'll answer the question about the note Lilly left Weevil. We had every intention of revealing it last year, but we just ran short of time. It was an obsessive love letter that hinted at potential violence — think of what happens to the unfortunate girl in the trunk in Eminem's "Stan." Weevil knew Veronica was getting close — she told him as much — and Weevil feared that if anyone found that note, he'd be back in hot water.

-Now this is a satisfying finale. I tear up every time at that paternity test scene
yeah, and the final run-up run-up? is good. I'm not a fan of end-of-season cliffhangers but this one worked pretty well since they wrapped everything else up.

-I just watched almost the whole first season this weekend, so I finally saw this episode and even though I knew Aaron was the killer, I have to say, WOW!
I loved the scene where Keith tells Veronica he's her real dad. Best Scene Ever.
I do have to say though that while of course I'm glad they finally got to the bottom of Lily's murder, I'm a little questionable on what I think of Lily herself. I know it's hard to tell when we only see a character through flashbacks after her death, but sleeping with your ex boyfriend's father leaves much to be desired. I get the idea that Lily sometimes did things just to piss people off, or piss her parents off, but there are some lines that probably are better left uncrossed.
yeah. by the end I do more or less like Lilly but also think we see a lot of bad from her and do we see anything kind?
Leanne sucks. Don't like her. She needs to go away and just stay there. Veronica is better off with just Keith.
it's awful that she took the 5o,ooo reward check (was it a money order!?) even after V telling her that the money V spent on mom's rehab was her college money.
At the end, I don't see how it could be Logan as much as some of us might want that. I don't think Veronica's reaction would have been like that if it were Logan. I think we would see more of a concerned look cross her face, especially considering the state Logan was in when we last saw him. I don't think it was Duncan either. Based on V's reaction, I'm going with Wallace. It seemed more like a best friend thing, especially considering that his mother was with Keith anyway, so chances are he knew what was up.
-Without spoiling anything for you, just know that not even Rob knew who was going to be at the door when they filmed that scene. So KB didn't have anything specific to base her reaction on. We all spec'd like crazy over the summer on her look, where her sightline was, etc, when there are really no clues since they hadn't decided yet who it would be.

jumping back to p1, the night of. (10 March 2005)

-I hope it was Logan. I think it was Duncan, but I hope it was Logan.
yep.
-
So next season both Logan and Duncan have dads in jail? Wow. (Jake got arrested for obstruction of justice.)
-Damn. Veronica broke my heart. Lianne: Veronica, it’s not easy. Veronica: I know it’s not. (voice breaking but strong).
I bet on you and I lost.
And my poor, sweet Logan…

p55 -Duncan has it the worst of anyone.
--Duncan has had the best day he's had in nearly two years. Are you kidding me? He's off the hook for everything he's feared for so long. He found out her killer is someone he cares nothing for, *and* he got to see his sister's bra, and you know that one was in the rotation
huh?. Rich dad's in jail? Yeah, for like 15 minutes, and with his cash and his sympathetic motives he'll have no problems. Duncan's going to Disneyland, man.
-Even taking his relationship with Veronica out of the equation,
the impact of the Echolls family role in Lilly's death is bound to have serious fallout on Logan's social circle. int. I hope we see that-
What I found interesting about the beach scene was how quickly Logan dropped to his knees after Veronica threatened him with Backup. He was so low (emotionally) that he was willing to see if Backup would put him out of his misery by ripping his throat out.
Who's a big man killer? who's a man killer? and his voice breaks, he's crying oh- Luckily, dogs have good instincts about people as evidenced by Backup chewing up Haaron later.

-I see the Logan hating minority is out in force. I find it hard not to see him as a victim here -- he has really been nothing but honest to Veronica. He did see Duncan freak out and attack his father...just telling Veronica that led her to effectively accuse Duncan of murder. And his language at the locker certainly sounded to me like he'd rather it wasn't Duncan and was hoping Veronica could prove it, just like Duncan later hoped Veronica could prove it wasn't Logan.
His father beats him; his girlfriend is murdered on a day he really could have tried to talk to her
and by his father! who she was sleeping with!; his mother kills herself; his sister is totally AWOL; his new girlfriend turns him into the cops. Excuse for being a jackass? No. But he really hasn't been for quite some time. Enought to be suicidal without being a drama queen? I'd say so.

-why are there two angles on the first tape of Lily finding the camera?
--Since there are two monitors but one VCR, Haaron probably set up the system so that VCR alternated recording between the two camera angles.
--Or, creepily, there's a sort of motion-sensor on the StatueCam. The FanCam is the default, but whenever StatueCam senses movement, it cuts into the recording feed. That theory doesn't mesh perfectly with the footage, but I'm allowing for a bit of a delay. And ew.

-Anyway, my real reason for posting was the following. Who I think is at the door is totally dependent on AM vs PM? I wish we could get RT to clarify.
307 AM. Totally Logan. Even before this, he's the one to drop by in the middle of the night. Now we know he's been out drinking, and he's the one with nowhere else to go since his house is surely swarming with reporters. If it is him, I'd say he's there to tell Veronica he's leaving town. That's my prediction.
307 PM. Probably Wallace come to check on where the hell she's been.

-No matter what Veroncia did to Logan--she is the only place that he feels safe, the media will be all over his house and he really doesn't have anywhere else to go so I hink it was him at the door. (Maybe Weevil heard on the news about the arrest, escorted him over there and just left him at the door.)
shux I'd've liked that.
