I'm thinking about which to watch with parents:
1.1 Pilot (dad saw it with me, mom needs to see it.)
then maybe 1.7 Girl Next Door. bcs has Weevil & Logan together in detention. also 1.6 Return of the Kane is a candidate bcs see Logan with dad. but may as well skip the Troy arc 1.2-1.5. I like it but it can be saved for another time, can be cut from a first season sum viewing.
the must-sees are:
1.10 An Echolls Family Christmas
1.12 Clash of the Tritons
then:
1.15 Ruskie Business. V helping L track mom to hotel, him crying, the spring fling, meg with duncan, deputy leo.
and into the finale:
1.18 Weapons of Class Destruction. bcs of the Camelot kiss of course. then maybe 1.19 and 1.20 for the LoVe but if time is not plentiful then go to:
1.21 Trip to the Dentist
1.22 have to see the end.

six shows takes two hours (since about 40 min ea)
so 10,12,15,18,21,21 is four hours.
the pilot is probably an hour. if time sees loose after that, watch 1.6 and 1.7 or just the latter. and after 1.18 watch 1.19 & 20 if time or jump to last two.

and I'll bring season 2 disc one in case want to see the after the summer fall-out. and maybe the last two discs: could see 2.20 Look Who's Stalking for the "epic" LoVe scene and then might want to see the end.
