Veronica Mars: The Complete Third Season Snoops Around on DVD September 18:
DVD Features:
- Pitching Season 4 - An in-depth ie long? interview w/ Creator Rob Thomas discussing a new direction for the series presented to network executives that picks up years later, with Veronica as a rookie FBI agent. ok cool.
- Going Undercover with Rob Thomas - Show Creator Rob Thomas walks us through some of the most memorable moments from Season 3 good. I want to know what he thinks about how season three turned out. and people saying it is not as good. (came to this via ggl: "rob thomas" "interview" "third season" trying to find comments from him to that effect)
- Webisode ??ie it's on the web maybe? and you get a password? Gallery with cast interviews and various set tours
- Unaired Scenes with introductions by Rob Thomas
- Gag Reel the one on season 2 dvd was fun, I enjoyed it more than tht I wld. no jason dohring gags, I wonder if bcs he is method-y maybe does not break character?

so this might be worth it, even though the episode I watched last nite Spit & Eggs did not appeal to me greatly... cld just buy the last episode as az dwnld, since that one returns to earlier themes (and the Kane household).

I don't like college campus settings.
is that bcs of my experience? or in any case was it likely that college does not suit me as high school did? too diffuse.
HS both intense -- you are in a building together for the whole day, pass in the halls, people have their lockers, you have a sense of people without knowing them -- and bounded: people go home to separate private lives.
whereas college is shared life all the time and not focused. spread over a large space, outside.
... ... ??
Fast Four-ward? Talk About Season Four - TWoP Forums p1: I've always thought that college was a bit of a problem for shows like VM and Buffy. I feel like it can be very isolating and I feel like VM's world was much larger before college. Yes, true, college can serve as a microcosm to some extent, but I think a lot of television writers overestimate to what extent. It works for some shows, but I don't think it works that well for VM. I feel like high school was a much better microcosm for Neptune and the world at large. If I've had any problems with this season, it's been because of the isolation that college brings.
