half way thru the debate. Obama has addressed "John" directly several times, as Jim said he was trying to get them to do. McCain has not yet addressed Obama even once. Every time he refers to "Senator Obama" in the third person. made me tense at the beginning when they were both keeping to third person, but then at least Obama turned to McCain. not sure what to think of his using first name. I mean I guess I like it; will others say he is less respectful.
Obama also more pleasingly refers back to the leading question, even if he does reframe his answer, at the end he says "so to the question of _". I appreciate that.
Obama continues to inspire my trust that he is knowledgeable and bringing good judgment to what seem to me near-impossible issues. I'm awfully glad he's interested in the job.

I would prefer they say 'fundamental' only w care and thank you Jim Lehrer for acknowledging its frequent iteration "your word, fundamental"
