yay that was a good Lost! good to be back at the beach (with Locke & the Others in 2008~9). good to have another pilgrimage, set to the same music as end of S3. "Follow the Leader." Locke leading the Others with Richard taking them to see Jacob. Ben clomping along. and Locke says he wants to kill Jacob? didn't see that coming. yay new turns of events.
and lots of Richard in both time periods.(pic from LongLiveLocke recap of prvs epsd.) Richard alone makes it a fantastic episode.
int that Richard really does not seem familiar with time travel etc, only showed up to help Locke by the beechcraft because 2008-Locke took him there & told him what to say. open loop, close loop. but I had imagine Richard knowing most everything. Ben to Sun: "He's a sort of advisor. He's had that job a long time."
Richard, Eloise, Jack, & Sayid, what a great group, I'll watch them anytime. swimming under the rocks into the tunnels, where jughead is waiting. now what, indeed.
and Sawyer & Juliet in the sub, did not see that coming either. together and soon to be free. then Kate joins them! well-played, good use of the triangle.
plus nice bits with Hurley & Miles, very nice scene with Chang, who turns out to be quite decent after all. and Miles saw & understood that his father yelled at his mother as the only way to get her to leave, so she & baby Miles would be safe.
