Lacey, Paige, Didi, Katie, Siobhan, and Crystal sing their non-obvious segue songs, “Beautiful” and, um..is it called “Stronger?” first few singers, seemed like each was an imprvmt over th last. Lacey eh I just d n enjoy her look. Didi ok. Katie ah now here is a voice, seems to me Katie can really sing. & Siobhan ~ bit weird in stage presence but always interesting, & powerful voice. then Crystal, who just as always elevates the song to another level.
Katie screams out an intro well done Katie for Christina Aguilera. Yikes! Christina looks like Princess Leia and Madonna’s love child as she sings a song I don’t know. Her tights are quite the bedazzled spectacle paired with a corset of some sort. I’m pretty sure she forgot her skirt backstage. y outfit was distracting, not expressive seeming. Whatever song that was managed to get a little better as it went along.I liked it pretty well. liked the warbles in the refrain, with her fingers drumming on the microphone.

Ryan chats up Papa Bowersox. He’s adorable! Crystal is up next to sing, “Ironic” and then introduces Alanis Morrisette. Cool! They’re singing, “You Oughta Know” with some creative lyric changes. hee hee Love it! They did a great job! Crystal seems just as professional & accomplished a performeras Alanis. she might even be better - ?

Undo It” is what Carrie Underwood sings next. It was 5 years ago that Carrie was crowned American Idol. She sounds great, but I don’t think I lo uh uh uh uhve the song. /I liked it: "I want to uh uh un-do it.

Next up is footage of Kris Allen presenting Crystal and Lee with the Ford cars they designed weeks back for the Ford video. Very cool! Then we see this week’s Ford commercial with Lee and Crystal singing, “My Wish” and a montage of clips from previous Ford commercials.
Crystal makes every song classy. or nearly.

Casey James sings “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn” and Bret Michaels joins him on stage. He of the recent health scares and winner of Celebrity Apprentice. {& ok y lead vocalist of the glam metal band Poison}
-Casey was just awesome tonight. Can’t wait to hear what he does on tour, & and then after. Surprised to see Bret Michaels… hmmm… ah well… was a great moment, and the guitar jamming at the end was sick! y show rg. I think casey might be a rock star.

Slezak: DialIdol is inaccurate often enough that it's hard for me to truly have faith in its predictions.

-crystal4thewincrystal4thewin: Do you think there is any possibility for crystal to win? I feel like everyone is predicting lee including dial idol who has never been wrong on finale predictions. i really think she deserves it!


-Kris's CD is unexpectedly amazing. first time I'd seen or heard Kris Allen. 'The Truth' ~ 'honesty is honestly the hardest..' ~ seemd pretty good.

-ha nice lyric change there Crystal y I wish they'd given that line to Alanis since going to draw attn, let the established star take it

-The Crystal/Alanis duet just MADE this season for me.

-The show finally started!

Slezak: I definitely enjoyed the vocals, but the staging and camerawork made me a little anxious. Did you guys see when Crystal almost tripped over a camera cord?

-Meg: I hope Alanis signed Crystal's guitar.
Slezak: MEG: ME TOO!

-Alanis is a walker on stage, no? She moves back and forth, side to side. I liked Crystal's cord trip. me too. I wasn't sure if I saw a mis-step or a spunky little hop.

-Can they do a duet for Crystal's album? Please? Pretty Please? With awesomesox on top?

Slezak: At what point did RoboCarrie Contestant become a rock star? she was pretty rock star.

-What a change from the pink shirt and jeans from her audition.

-I would KILL for a Carrie-Kelly duet... oh huh wasn't there a Kelly Clarkson & Fantasia duet ~ must have missed that

-Hated her on Idol, though I love her now. Team Bo all the way! {Bo Bice was co-finalist w Carrie Underwood. I actually saw a bit of that finale. 2005 I guess? d n m know what I was seeing. turned on the tv bcs was ~ hanging about civilizedly, alison was coming up to see re taking care of lg while I went to Fla wedding. & had seen sth in joe's red eye, I think, about the finale. I think I liked Bo: he sang Sweet Home Alabama, I think

Slezak: I am a proud member of Team Bo as well.

-I feel like Allison's album should be a mandatory step in introducing the brilliance of music to kids. huh, that good?
-I played Allison's CD at neighborhood pool loudspeaker. 5 people asked me for a copy.

-I'm guessing the producers asked Simon"Who do you want to see in your last season finale?" and he picked EVERY band that would drive the young demographic away from Idol and towards X Factor.

Slezak: Jordin! Taylor! And KRIS ALLEN!
Slezak: "Together We Are One" is probably not a song that will make its way to my iPod.
Slezak: But I will not lie. it's pretty soul-stirring to see all these Idol grads on one stage.

Slezak: David Cook and J.Hud's absence has been duly noted.
-WHERE IS ADAM LAMBERT? -Daughtry?
-ok we can't have them all! but the alum we had were great!!

Slezak: I thought there was gonna be a Kelly-Tasia duet guess not. they were part of big alum group ensemble performance instd


Slezak: Janet Jackson in a dramatic gown and sexy-short 'do.
-She sounds so much like Michael, it's amazing.

-If this were called "American Nice Guy," this would make sense.

Slezak: Okay, I'm gonna try to be philosophical here. Because #1 and #2 get their record contracts and...
-People knew Crystal would be fine on her own, so they went with Lee..... let's go with that.
-Maybe the Joe Cocker and Alanis Morrissette duets were consolation prizes, like KISS and Queen last year for Adam.
-I don't think Crystal expected to win. Lee's more of a midstream choice. Not surprising

Slezak: Mama-say, mama-sah, ma-MamaSox!

-they're trying to hide crystal with confetti so we don't rememeber who should have won

Slezak: Well, guys...there were some cool moments. Loved Xtina with the season 9 ladies. Loved the way Bret Michaels shared the stage with Casey. ADORED Crystal and Joe Cocker.
Slezak: And stoked to see all those Idol grads.
Slezak: On one stage together.
Slezak: In a world where people pay to see Britney Spears lipsynch for her life, at the very least, Idols nine seasons give us a legacy of dozens of vocalists who can get the job done liiiive and without a backing track.

Slezak: Thanks for hanging out with me tonight
