-definitely not. the flash-sideways is purgatory, but everything else is real life.
-Now you had to listen very carefully at Jack's father's words in the finale. The flash "sideways" was the purgatory. Christian told Jack that the flash sideways was created by all of the survivors so that they may find one another and leave or "move on." Christian said that these people either died before Jack or LONG after, that's why they were in the flash sideways. They needed to see each other and move on to the other life with each other.
