 -sistermagpie: But then what's weird is it seems like this second marriage, the one he had to work through issues to get to, is far colder than the first marriage was. Stan still seems kind of befuddled to find himself talking to her when she appears in his house and even last season the whole thing seemed arranged by Renee--something broke in her place so she had to "move in" for a while (and never left), she appears at the gym and has all the same interests as Stan, etc. 

  -Erin9: I sure would like there to be some explanation on why Renee and S/R have no substance. Especially on a show where it is all about marriage.  //and cmmt re m more re his ex wife substantv real char.    sandra. 

   -Ellaria Sand: two possibilities:
1) They hired Laurie Holden, made her Stan's love interest (OK, that's fine) and gave her nothing of interest to do while creating a faux mystery around the character
 2) Hired Laurie Holden, had her pretend to fall in love with Stan while doing secret spy work that will have an impact on the end game.
Either one of these sound like terrible choices by the writers yet this is basically what we are choosing between






S06.E08: The Summit - The Americans 

 -jjj:   Renee, giggling: "Oh, do I need to memorize all the state capitols for my interview?!"
Me: "Nice try, Renee, we know you learned those in SpySchool."       


 -Anyone have a clue as to why Phillip is getting a new suit...NOW? 
 -For his funeral?


-At this point, Renee is going to be confirmed as an undercover operative for one three letter organization or another, or this is the most epic troll job by showrunners that has ever happened.

Renee checks the mail .. Stan's excited for her, and when she nervously asks what she'll be asked about, he assures her that it's the same kind of thing that would come up wherever she interviewed, plus whether she's "a loyal American, and if [she] can keep a secret."  She sure as hell seems to have nailed the latter. What! Is! Her! DEAL?!    
   ..  so then is Elizabeth's refusal to follow this order what will activate Renee to do it instead? FINALLY?????
