tvwop forumers re Colbert
with former CIA director James Woolsey: the interview was funny and somewhat informative, nice to see some it-getters in government. I thought he seemed pretty with it though I wasn't confident in my read of him.
Woolsey has balls, to be bringing the bears. Colbert is afraid of bears. (I loved that the studio audience gasped; I did too!) I guess you'd have to have balls like that to be head spook-man.

and earlier in Tuesday nite's show-
Stephen laughing at the quadratic equation - "Equations are the devil's sentences"-
and looking at 2x=4: "X could be anything!"

He could not keep a straight face tonight, could he? You can always tell his "Stephen Colbert" smile from the Stephen smile, and he kept breaking into that delightful grin all night long.

I love that we see more of Stephen in the interviews as opposed to the "Stephen" of all the other segments.
- I completely agree. The interview portion of the show used to be my least favorite; but now I love it for the moments when you can see Stephen the person shine through his character. I find it endearingly sweet whenever it happens.
