my interest in tv winding down ~?

Kidnapped next airs not tomorrow but next Saturday 21 Oct. I do want to keep seeing this. might like to own the whole 13 episodes on dvd, wh probably will be made?
Kidnapped goes down as my favorite.

Heroes 3rd episode didn't seem interesting. maybe bcs the tv reception was too fuzzy? the overall storyline doesn't seem to draw me. I'm int in Nikki the single mom divided self, and somewhat in Clare. I like those actresses. but if everyone is gathering in NY next episd (4th) then fr here on out it may be more about a grand save-the-world plot and less about the characters...

Friday Night Lights I like, though hardly watched 2nd episd and no motive force yet twd watching on nbc.com. and Tuesdays are scattered for me - this at same time as Gilmore Girls - switching back & forth makes each seem less compelling (Gilmore Girls kind of dumb - I'm in only for serious Lorelai moments, and the show seems to be going twd lightness, wh is fine it's what others like I guess and possibly what Lauren Graham favors). then an hour later there's Boston Legal wh I still like - but ABC eh dumbishness and so many commerical breaks - opposite Nip/Tuck wh I have gotten a bit into, mainly for Christian Troy. again, a pair of shows at odds with one another. and imbetween Fashion House wh has gotten entertaining again, not hugely but it is fun. none of this holds together as a block of entertainment. so it may be the evening I watch several hours of tv, but only with partial attention...

no evening of a coherent block. last yr DH and Greys sort of were. fit the same mood, enough, both sort of dumb but entertaining enough if I felt like watching. now DH seems not int at all and not to go well with Brothers&Sisters wh has at least some heart. so Sunday I may watch Brothers & Sisters, but not set on it.
and Monday I may watch Heroes, but not set on it. and Studio 60 goes unwell after it, it's a very diff entertainment. and not very entertaining, to me. just int for the conversation around it, and maybe for MatthewPerry and BradleyWhitford but their chars only int me in the pilot.

The fall was fun, the pilots. Studio 60 pilot [Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip pilot script] as a thing in itself, I still like.
Friday Night Lights premiere, I liked quite well: strummy guitar broken down houses southern speak and a well-played predictable emotional ending.
I'm not sure I even saw it all. maybe read through TWoP » Friday Night Lights » Pilot.
(FriNightLights may turn out also to be sth I'd enjoy seeing as a whole, on a dvd. sth to watch w mom.)

Heroes was fun for the first two episodes, and Kidnapped is fine.
it was fun to read about and check into Men In Trees, and Shark. ~ Ugly Betty, the look and feel of wh just isn't my kind of pleasure. I liked reading various overviews of All These New Serial Dramas. eg New dramas hope viewers are willing to commit - FALL TV PREVIEW - MSNBC.com

so, this has been: my fall of television. fall 2006.
with daily checks of -tvguide.com (nicely revamped, but the settings of location and favorite channels can't be saved?) -laurel's tvpicks.net (very good for daily following of what new shows tonight) -yahoo's daily picks (just to glimpse another daily preview) -tim goodman's sfgate blog FeedtheMachine posts for review with good comments of the previous day's shows and what people are adding or dropping fr their viewing plans -and televisionwithoutpity for comments on every show to tell me what people think (about tv is where to find conversation, sjc style what did you think of a sth we all just readwatched) and for the pleasant recaplets and sometimes the full recaps at least in part
