3-7: "Where the Boys Are" 2006.11.09 - TWoP Forums
-Addie in the glasses was very hot. yes she looked pretty, eating breakfast (I think) and reading. Loved her tonight. Her and Callie bonding was probably my favorite part tonight.
-I loved the looks between Callie and Addison when Mark came in...those eyes definitely got a workout.
-Mad props to Callie for being there for Addie, and even larger ones to Addie for not being upset about Callie sleeping with Mark at all.
- I liked the entire story of the baby dying and those 2 coming together.
-That birthing scene was one of the saddest things I've ever seen on TV
the scene near end sitting on floor, Addison asks if want to get a drink or sth, and Callie's beeper goes off, Addison says some other time then, and Callie says Definitely and gives a bit of a smile. nice. friendship.

-I did like the Chief's little rolling suitcase for the camping trip.
-the Chief with his fine cheese and picnic basket was cute. kind of seems unlikely that he is so ~ naive or something ~ and is a top surgeon .. but, maybe kind of like my dad, and other men who do well as leaders even though a certain slowness, innocence.

-the MTF story. Maybe I am too sensitive about this because we have one in the family and I am the only one who stayed close, but I really HATE this whole "if they don't love me the way I am, they don't love me" line that gets repeated in tv and movies all the time. Most of the trans people I know have a good understanding of how hard this is for other people. Finding it hard sometimes doesn't mean we don't love or accept them, it just means it's hard sometimes and that's ok. It would have been nice to see that be affirmed.

-I liked how Cristina jsut said, "I'm glad you're back" or whatever it was instead of jumping right into not being able to do surgeries blah blah. Refreshing.

I did enjoy this week's Greys.. liked Addison and Callie. and int in the male to female transexual story.
there was a bit less of the dumb flippancy I so dislike in this show and think is what so many other people love about it. I was not int in Izzie though, or in George and Alex fighting. though I like Alex.
and, isn't it ~almost-psychotic-mean for Mark to try to lure away the current love of his former best friend whose wife he slept with, leading to sad divorce? I did like his delivery of this line to Meredith: "I don't run, I don't hide, I don't take space." but I don't think the character seems written to be this much of a ~ psychopath.. (that connotes a crazier sounding person, but Mark going after Meredith, if we take this story at all seriously, seems like something only someone who is mean to the point of illness would do)
ok post on pg2 of twop forum by Morgen about 'sth seriously wrong w Mark' - though Morgen takes more offense at him whereas I more find it odd that he's written to be acting this wrongly without it seeming to be written that he is sick..
-p5
Mark was hitting on her during surgery.Knowing she's his (ex) best friend's new love, having recently slept with Addie and Callie, knowing Derek is taking some time to deal with the fallout from the living together reveal and, did I mention, while in surgery! He's either a nymphomaniac or he wants to be Derek. ETA, I could also get behind Auk's theory that he wants to be with Derek.
