Redwall_hp's Blog: BlogThis! For Beta 11/4/06 : I'm now using the Blogger Beta, and I noticed to my horror (and probably others' as well) that BlogThis! bookmarklets don't work with it, or they don't for now. I modified the BlogThis code to work for the Beta. I like it even better than the original BlogThis!. Mine has a bigger window with a full-featured blogger post editor. Drag the link below to your bookmarks area to use it: BlogThis!2.0 EDIT: This seems to have a few problems... Namely you have to edit part of the code tohave your blog's ID#. Here's the total code for editing: javascript:popw='';Q='';x=document;y=window;if(x.selection) {Q=x.selection.createRange().text;} else if (y.getSelection) {Q=y.getSelection();} else if (x.getSelection) {Q=x.getSelection();}popw = y.open('http://beta.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=35850241','bloggerForm','scrollbars=no, width=780,height=610,top=175,left=75,status=yes,resizable=yes');if (!document.all) T = setTimeout('popw.focus()',50);void(0);
Replace the bold and italic text wirh your blog's ID. You can find this, with some trouble, in your browser's address bar when your entering a post. ok. Just edit the code above, and paste it into the URL field of your create bookmark dialog. found this as "location" under "properties" when right click on the bookmark. pasted in the blog id fr dlww, and now it works as a pop-up post.
*but* to dlww only (blogthis! button allowed choice of all my blogs)
*and* it does not bring up a link to the current page - I created the top link here manually (actually by getting the title that came up fr dlcs post - and then using the blogger box hyperlink to paste the url in) *and* it does not bring up highlighted text - I cut & pasted.
but, it is useful to have a separate window open at a click, with a login ready. right? so thank you to writer of this code.
the linked title is what I most liked though, I guess.
I hope blog-this button on google toolbar gets adapted to blogger beta.
