uh oh dashboard looks pretty different... busier.
well okay maybe worth it - eg can go straight to "view blog" for each from here now, cldnt before.
oh yay the blogs all still look the same !!
hmm, now let's look at the template settings . . .
ah ha (when click on "customize" in upper right on blog):
Give your blog a whole new look!
We've introduced a new tool for customizing the appearance of your blog. Before you can use this tool, you'll need to upgrade your template. By upgrading, you will lose many of the changes you previously made to your template. However, we will save a copy of your current template so that you can access it later. hmmmmm.

How can I use the new Blogger Layouts features?
Find the name of your blog on your dashboard, and click the "Template" link next to it. If this link says "Layout" instead, then it's already upgraded and you can skip the rest of these steps.
mine ALL say Template, not Layout.
ok - very good - Customize - select template : my current template is already selected. good, good.
so yes I was right that -
ofachild =minima (customizing this first since I dont care much for my current customizing ~)
dlww = simple II
yasapc = tekka
ok so I updated ofachild. and altered the titles to blue, I dont like that orange. at present I dislike the yellow orange of cdb being at the top, but I do want to have that picture, so fine. maybe will add a photo to the template, a favorite, like of lg.
and I deleted a bit of html re the header w the result of altering the box around ofachild blog title from one line to two. wh is better, and fine probably. if delete the whole first paragr of html re header, I get rid of the other line and also the centering, so I dont think I like that better. leave it and much around more if anything bothers me.
I did try switching to minima-stretch so posts not centered. liked it less actually. for these little posts I guess I do like it being centered.
but I like dlww notes filling the page since there it is fxnl primarily.
and I think I will leave alone the template there, for now. and on katecutrer, since I had deleted a good bit of decoration html fr that template (thisaway rose) wh I wld have to do again and more correctly (since it wont let me leave incorrect html now, right?) and I am tired. leave yasapc also since I so like how it is now. though that one wld be easier to update and then properly change since I think all that I altered was title size (wh can do now thru the customizing) and deleting a page element or two (again, can do easily in the customizing).
what the customizing does NOT allow, it seems, is the alteration of the layout and decoration, eg borders and margins and graphics put in the template. so for that you do have to go into the html, and can, still, I am glad. anyway all of that has to be altered for katecutrer and dlww. so, another time maybe. maybe I did not change that much on dlww... and had not ever found the html for the titles so as to make them smaller, wh I suppose cld now be done as font customizing.
-ofachild updated. make alterations if anyth bothers me.
-owliver. whatever ~ update if ever looking at it and want to. I probably deleted some decoration there but I did not get much into it, so cld probably change the template and not mind. I do like it being green I guess.
when feel like it
-update yasapc. probably not too much changed fr the template.
-for katecutrer, cld first create a new blog with template thisaway rose, and see if can delete the decor that irks me.
LATER- no, Leave yascapc and katecutrer alone (at lst for now). I like them better my way.
-for dlww, probably more important to do that test. create a simple II blog and see if can make it likeable.
LATER-yes, ok. I'll change this.
