Friday Night Lights is beautiful.
just now, Street on the field coaching Saracen - I just hit it - Yes you did. lovely.
with Smash and Riggins too. really great scene.

-The scene with Jason coaching Matt was just great. I think we've seen where Jason is going to wind up - coaching. He had just the right tone with Matt. Very well done.
-I have so much love for the scene with Riggins, Saracen, Smash and Street. I've been waiting for Jason to be reintegrated with everyone else; especially waiting for a scene with Zach Gilford Matt Saracen and Scott Porter Jason Street (they are my two favorite younger actors on this show).
-I would love to see Jason coaching. He just looked so happy there, and it would be a great way to get him to stay for another season... I was so unbelievably excited to see the four boys hanging out, and that scene did not disappoint.
-If this show had been nothing but the Taylors and those four guys out on the field I would have been in heaven.I'm still in heaven actually because the rest of the episode was quite wonderful as well. This show does character eps better than any show I've ever seen. But much love to the writers and directors for finally getting Jason and Matt together for more than two seconds.
-The scene that touched me the most, surprisingly, wasn't the CT/Julie chat, but the football scene. It just felt like Jason really, finally felt like he was home again, for the first time since his accident. Wow! It totally caught me by surprise.
-Agreed. I wasn't really feeling the episode, and then those four were on the field and all was right in the world. Jason and Timmy back together, Jason helping out Matt with the plays, I loved it. Bounce it off of all four of the "boys" competing with their adult problems and it was quite a scene, and Matt letting himself trail off (and get talked over) was particularly telling. They really do all have issues beyond their years, but Matt conceding that his may not be as bad as everyone else's was an interesting addition.
well Matt is younger and I suppose less-troubled seeming but he is without any parent around and having to take care of grandma -
none of the others are actually responsible for someone else - though also have not much in way of parents ~
Tim has his do-nothing dad and no sign of mom so he's pretty alone (but does have a brother),
Smash has a good momma but have we seen his dad?,
Jason has parents right we just don't know much about them except they sued the team right so he may have been the least disadvantaged but now he lost his dream in a moment and as he said the chair says he wins every context of problems.
................I liked Smash about Waverly --So how are you dealing with it? -Like a man. You know, avoiding her calles, hiding in the bushes.
and Jason smiling at this................
-I think Scott Porter owned this episode. The acting from everyone was amazing, but Jason went through a whole journey in the space of an hour. The look on his face when he saw Saracen in the parking lot? what was happening there? I must have missed that, in the early part of episode.. no wait, in the parking lot outside the liquor store? I saw that but. what, it just saddens him to see the kid whose got his QB spot?? Heartbreaking, priceless. And the scene on the field with the four guys? If TV were that good all the time I would be dead.

all those comments praising that scene on just p1 of the twop forum

...
Riggins to his neighbor "who's got to be at least in her mid-thirties" - I'm sorry I misread the situation - you're just a kid - you're right.
-As a woman who is also a Mom and (as Tim said about MILF) "at least like in my mid-thirties," I consider myself way above making out with teenage neighbors....but I'm not above watching it. That was pretty hot.
-Tim was great this episode. How cool was it when he went to Bo's defense? I know, I know, totally cliche, but I remember once my older brother saved me from a couple of bullies and how awesome it felt to see the bullies turn tail and flee.
