What About Brian - TWoP Forums:
-Not only is it a completely different show then when it started, its totally different from a few weeks ago. yeah. Take Brian, gone is the real estate job, gone is the daddy issues (and the daddy - fled the country! really!), gone is the crazy mom, gone is the love-of-his-life-was-engaged-to-best-friend, gone is new girlfriend/dad's ex-mistress, gone is video game company. Didn't it start out with him not wanting to ever commit? Now he has wanted to commit to Majorie, Bridgette, Dancing w/the stars girl, and looks like the no-one-notices-shes-hot-because-she-wears-sweats-girl.
even the show's title slash premise of Brian as the only single guy in a group of partnered friends only worked for the first few weeks -- Adam was engaged to Marjorie, but they broke up on the wedding day; Nicole's husband died; longtime married couple split up.

funny, everyone in the forum is like Why I am watching this show?
-
And I'm also watching Dirt... don't know what the hell is going on there, but it's weirdly compelling. But that has a bizarre factor going for it, whereas WAB has only it's inept, mundane badness. Although I suppose one of the things is that it kind of coasts along, all mundane, then shocks you with a moment like The 'Hidden' Chamber of Lil Tammy Horrors or the Manny Kiss and you have to double-take - like, that was SO bad, I have to go back and watch it again

--Plus, I like the theme song - which is quite possibly the stupidest reason to watch a TV show, but I’ll cop to it.
-Seriously. I'm always about to turn the show off and then I hear the theme song and I'm all, "What an awesome theme song, I'll give it one more chance."
what's the theme song?

-I agree - Stockholm Syndrome (?), the theme song, Dave&Dina - the actors are making their stuff work by the skin of their teeth (so these are reasons why watching ... and, here we go, yep: The title of this show doesn't make any sense any more, it's totally an ensemble so the title kind of leads to the response 'yeah... what *about* brian?' - and the rest of it was just dross.

ah:
-I think we all have some sort of Stockholm Syndrome with regard to this show. Every week I'm amazed that I continue to watch when it is so, so bad.
so that's funny, identifying with one's oppressor
-not the first Stockholm Series for me

-Taylor whosiwhatsit from Fashion House showed up at that lame party Brian and his neighbors went to! And he's still a black hole of emotion. He's probably a brilliant bluffer at poker.
right that's who it was that's who it was! I saw that scene and his face was so familiar but - -
in fact, that's why I went to look in this forum, to see if it said who. Fashion House! I hadn't thought of.
