1-7 Recap Her Name Is Luka...
The Girl Next Door - ...she lives on the second floor! She lives upstairs from Veronica! No you haven't seen her before! If you hear something late at night, some kind of trouble, some kind of fight! Just don't ask us what it was...because it was kind of predictable. But Weevil and Logan bring their respective charisma to bear on each other, and they're finally having fun, fun, fun. Also, they finally tell us when Duncan broke up with Veronica.

it was predictable, yeah. as soon as the stepfather to mom was all "you're making her sound worse than she was"...
and Logan & Weevil laughing with & supporting each other was great. (til Logan saw Weevil has a heart tattoo that says Lilly). Logan confessing to the principal & putting his boots -- that are his dad's, that the principal wants for an auction -- up on the table: great scene, well played. both these actors do a fine fine job.
it's also in this episode that Weevil helps Veronica by intimidating the clothes store clerk (co-worker of missing neighbor girl): "Some of the girls are put off by this motorcycle jacket. You think something in suede might make me seem more - accessible?" and he tosses his gloves at the guy. great. also lovely how he took off his hlemet when he & his gang pulled up where Veronica was waiting, and he greeted her with a fist touch (what do you call?). he's good with those accessories. humor & grandeur, indeed.
oh yeah and it's clarified: Duncan did break up with Veronica *before* the whole falling apart - Lilly's murder, Veronica's dad going after Jake Kane. ~ kind of too bad that I saw something about Duncan being told Veronica was his sister. which I think must turn out not to be true, that Jake Kane is not her father, Keith is, really. anyway they have already brought this to our attention pretty clearly but I wonder if I'd have figured that's why Duncan dropped Veronica and then why Lilly told her to let it go. now I will never know (if that wld be obvious to me). ohzeewellzee.
