episode order switcharoo

TWoP Veronica Mars recap 1.11 Silence Of The Lamb [recap title: Mac's Daddy...]: Before I get started, two things: First, Happy New Year! And second, for those of you that don't keep up with this stuff, this episode was originally supposed to air the week before 'An Echolls Family Christmas,' but UPN pulled it because they thought the material was too 'dark' for the holidays. the material = the family switch and oh this is what was too dark: the e-string strangler.
so that explains why the narrative seemed to skip. I thought of NipTuck, where at least in the fourth season as I saw episodes on tv they seemed to alternate, picking up with an arc every other week - so, something happens with Christian, the next week there is nothing about it and instead a story about Matt & scientology, but then the week after that picks up with Christian. so here, there was no mention of Aaron Echolls's stabbing etc. but there it is in the one after this, Clash of the Tritons.
On the dvd they kept the same order (why? they had altered it for airing so that this needed to go here? I don't remember anything about the arc that wld require that):
1.9 Drinking the Kool-Aid - mooncalf cult
1.10 An Echolls Family Christmas - poker game & A Echolls threats
1.11 Silence of the Lamb - re Mac's family & e-string strangler (I don't think I like this title, was sheriff lamb importantly silent about something?) so this shld have been 1.10 that makes sense. it continues the Clarence Wiedman photos with crosshairs arc too remember.
1.12 Clash of the Tritons - which picks up where AEFC left off. & also has V listening in via stapler on guidance counselor's grief study conversatns about Lilly with Weevil, Logan, Duncan.
