The Bastard Machine : "24": Stuff blew up, people were drilled, it's going coup-coup. Great!:

Rule 1: It only takes around 5-8 minutes to drive anywhere in LA
Rule 2: 'Dammit!' is enough to shake off the death of a colleague/explosion/theft/lost satellite feed
Rule 3: The mole always goes to the backroom...thought of installing surveillance there?
Rule 4: most of the time, at least ONE loved one will be somehow affected by the terrars, even if they live far far away.
Rule 5 (two-parter): 5.1 LA is the prime terrorist target, and 5.2 the president is usually there already.

Things I've learned from watching 24:
• Jack's laughter impaired. Or could be that nothing's ever intentionally funny on 24.
• I'm pretty sure Chloe can recognize Jack's voice when he calls. Jack, not so much. "Chloe, it's Jack." "Chloe, it's Jack." "Chloe, it's Jack." "Chloe, it's Jack." "Chloe, it's Jack." "Chloe, it's Jack."

#73: Just when the bad-guy-behind-the-bad-guy is about to be neutralized, he'll place a call to the bad-guy-behind-the-bad-guy-behind-the-bad-guy.
#74: High-res satellites are monitoring and recording every inch of planet earth. If someone gets kidnapped five minutes after leaving CTU, they can just go look at the tapes and see who it was.
#75: The schematics of every building in Los Angeles are instantly available and current. An infrared satellite can tell you where people are in the building, real time.

-Everyone is technically savvy, pulling off cool feats like remotely uploading the contents of SIM cards and programming nuclear detonators on the fly. Unlike the real working world, where co-workers are constantly whining "Wickedmachine, what does it mean when it says 'toner low'?"

-Do your job, or you'll be replaced by someone from District.

24- Day 6: 1-2 PM It just isn't 24 unless someone is planning to overthrow the president in the middle of a national security crisis.
