bayou. sparseness and terseness

vulture.com/2014/11/movie-review-jessabelle.html
Jessabelle Is a Melancholy Little Horror Film   by Bilge Ebiri
via Joelle Carter, plays mother Kate// Movie Rvw: Jessabelle  | Vulture  |  Helplessness often > horror. in wheelchair inside a big lonely house. mostly immobile person who has to wait for things to happen to her, that’s scary. effctv chills in sparseness and terseness.   [but..]  mystery dissipates. .. works in a boyfr char, seems there mostly plot get out of situatns created by Jessie’s immobility /seems smart rvwr. = by Bilge Ebiri
/ fr wkp re receptn, seems not v good, but idea ~ story  of int  enough to read re.  draws me ~ VC Andrews ish? not Flowers Attic but ones I remember less, and like th bk Bobbi gave me Rebecca but I d n read it ~ bcs secret room, old house (or estate, gardens), spirits other woman, pregnancies, deaths.   (Southern?) Gothic / only might worth watching bit if mood int, location:?    .. her childhood Louisiana home, a big, remote, empty villa along the bayou. .falls into a swamp of its own making.

oh and int in ending ~ like Stranger with my face.  book young adult fr when I was kid.
haunting to me,
