The lazy writing suggests a Lifetime series. All the producers needed was Jennie Garth, this generation’s Meredith Baxter, and they probably would have had a modest cable hit. But when it comes to the ratings for ”Men in Trees,” ABC can count on gravity doing its work. Timberrr!
