Dexter: Putting Bad Guys Six Feet Under - TWoP Forums:
-Michael C. Hall was excellent as ever. He looked good, tanned and a little disheveled works for him. The only thing I've seen him in is 'Six Feet Under.' I loved him in that role and was always impressed by how different the character David was the Michael C. Hall, the person. And I don't mean just in demeanor, I mean in appearance. He does something...with his face that makes him look different. And it was present here. He was someone completely different. And I know, that's the whole POINT of acting, but lots of actors can't pull that off.
-It's great to see MCH again. He's such a good actor that I did not think "David Fisher" during the episode. yep yep (I watched some in the pre-premier online showtime sneakpeak)
---and knew this about MCH from the SixFeetUnder episode (one of the last episodes I think~) where he is alternate-David all laid back and surfer-y in Nate's dream. noted here on dlww last summer, housesitting at jc's and watching all the HBO replays and ondemands of SixFeetUnder final season, lots of twop etc notes re finale... anyway MCH was great there and the twop recapper said "I think it's because Michael C Hall is an excellent actor" ----
here go:

Wait, that's David? What's with the Spicoli mane and the giant blond goatee? And why doesn't he look more ridiculous with them? I suspect it's because Michael C. Hall is an outstanding actor. Just a theory. awesome, yes he's great. TWoP re hippie-David in Nate's death dream, episode 60 Ecotone.

I really like the commentary on those last episodes of SixFeetUnder
:
Nate's all excited about the lack of sermon: "People just sit silently and wait to be filled with the presence of God." He tries to sound like he's kidding so he doesn't seem completely uncool, but he's totally doing that thing where you actually kind of mean it. Al Franken calls it kidding on the square, which is a handy phrase because there's going to be quite a bit of that going on this week. TWoP of episode 59 Singing for our Lives.

and
Everybody Dies
Six Feet Under - Wow, when this show says "the end," it's not kidding around.
Now that is a montage.
... ...David wonders if Keith doesn't find the house depressing. David's been to our forums.
Keith says it doesn't have to be, which means yes.
